# Can you exlpain the "Prompt Runs per User" number?

I have a pickaxe where I’ve set a limit of 3 prompt runs per user. However, it seems that this limit isn’t functioning as intended. I tested it with several different IP addresses.  
Am I missing anything?

That is a limit _per user_. So each user is being limited to 3 times. But if 5 different people use the tool, they can each use it 3 times.

Additionally those metrics also count how many times you yourself use it on the control panel or axe page.
