# Check box on forms

In one of the threads I saw this comment from one of the founders:

“With the custom scripting, you should be able to add a checkbox on registration pop-up now!”

One of my clients needs to do this (to get permission to market to people in her studio when they sign up) - could you point me in the direction of how I can do this? Thanks.

Can you explain a little more?

You want a checkbox to appear when someone registers where they opt-in to receiving your marketing emails?

We need a checkbox on the form when the register with the studio. Here’s a short video explaining what I mean, thanks!

Ah, so you are not currently able to customize that login module. You’ll have to add that checkbox opt-in elsewhere in the studio / log in process.

Can I put that in as a request? In lots of countries you’re unable to send emails to subscribers unless they specifically opt-in via a checkbox, which limits being able to use the studio.

Sure. There is also a difference between marketing emails and transactional emails. For example, users should not need to opt in to receive an email verification email. It is a transactional email necessary for the functioning of the studio.
