# Markdown and HTML is rendered on the user input

This is an old problem, but when a user types input that is in HTML or Markdown, this gets rendered somehow. It can make it very confusing to interact with the bots.

Hi @leoreche! That rendering is intentional, not a bug - but you can always put something in feature requests if you want an easier way to opt out!
