Hi there, I’ve created a Pickaxe with the PDF action, but it’s not generating the PDF for me, instead I’m getting this message:

Certainly! I’ll create a PDF document containing both the long-form blog post and the summary we’ve created. I’ll use the pdf\_generator tool to accomplish this.Generating PDF of blog post and summary…

I apologize, but I’m not able to access or view external files or URLs. However, I can work with any information you provide directly in our conversation. If you’d like me to incorporate specific details from that PDF into the blog post or summary, please share the relevant content here and I’ll be happy to include it.

Can you share the tool link here? I can take a look. And are you using Claude or an OpenAI model?

It seems like it was a glitch on the day, as it started working again.

however, the chat is a bit repetitive and shares the link a few times:

This is the prompt:

- After you’ve created the script, ask if they would like a PDF copy of the script
- If they say yes, create and share the PDF script

Is there a way to get it to just share the PDF link once?

The Pickaxe is one called ‘Hypnotherapy’ in my dashboard. Thanks!

When I used the tool it gave me a single link. Is it still giving double links?

I have been trying to get it to work on my pickaxes and it isn’t making the pdf. using the default text input/values.

none of the acts are working? i am being strict making sure it only responds to things in the knowledge base- will that cause the problem?

1st, you want to clone the existing community action, then change the Additional packages to FPDF.

Then, you’ll have to sync

1. The prompt
2. Action code
3. The Function inputs

Use ChatGPT-4o model to help you solve the code.

You can also check out the How to Guide for detailed steps and action code template:

> Updated: Dec, 09, 2025. Dear friends and Pickaxe legends, The team at Pickaxe has gone above and beyond to remove the complexities of action code. Generating a basic PDF is now significantly easier and works with almost every LLM out there. Here’s how simple it is now: 1) Navigate to your Pickaxe’s Actions tab and click on the PDF Generator action. 2) Add a Trigger Prompt to tell your Pickaxe when, how, and why this action should be triggered. Start with: Trig…
