Hey Pickaxe team and community,
I’m running into an issue where my custom domain (https://bbb.proattitudes.com) shows an incorrect or default image when shared on platforms like WhatsApp — even though I’ve correctly added Open Graph meta tags in the header injection:
html
CopyEdit
<meta property="og:title" content="Better Bite Buddy™ – Your Personal Food Quality Coach" />
<meta property="og:description" content="Get personalized, science-backed calorie scores and food tips instantly." />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://storage.googleapis.com/msgsndr/ROvsrIVUnHQifEli8P7S/media/688106c7e6c9502b1bf85b.png" />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://bbb.proattitudes.com" />
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
I’ve verified the code is live in the header, but Pickaxe seems to be overriding or not honoring the OG tags. Even after clearing cache and testing with preview tools (like Meta Debugger and WhatsApp), the wrong image still shows up.
Can someone confirm:
- Does Pickaxe allow custom OG meta to take priority over defaults?
- Is there a known cache delay or fix to force the update?
- Any workaround if we’re using a custom domain?
Would really appreciate the help, as this is affecting my brand shareability.
Thanks in advance!
