# OpenAI New Model o1 is Awesome

For my tools created at Pickaxe the new model from OpenAI, o1, is giving much better answers when I was testing it at ChatGPT. Can’t wait to integrate this new model whenever it is available for Pickaxe users.

What are the differences you are noticing between 4o and o1?

Descriptions are more complete and better answered.

Such as asking for a Mystery Plot, o1 will tend to automatically create more characters and along with more characters comes the need for more places, clues and motivations that are thematically tied to the main story setting. o1 creates a more expansive plot that works.

Creating Traps, Tricks, and Puzzles for Role-Playing Games has been difficult for AI until 4o and now the designs and descriptions I am getting with o1 are much more complete and coherent.

Text streaming is not currently available via API for o1 from OpenAI. We’re keeping an eye on updates, and we do anticipate integrating this model eventually, hopefully after they add this functionality.

It will not be available for a while.

I was simply testing the new o1 model out by going to OpenAI and testing the new ChatGPT model by copy/paste the persona and rules from PickAxe.into the o1 model.
