Question about User Memory on the Gold/AS plan

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me understand the User Memory limits on the different plans.

The pricing page says:

  • Gold: 1 User Memory per Workspace

  • Pro: 100 User Memories per Workspace

  • Business: Unlimited User Memories per Workspace

Am I correct in thinking that this refers to the number of end users who can each have their own persistent memory profile within a workspace?

For example, if I build a SaaS and have 100 customers using the same workspace:

  • On the Gold plan, would only one customer have persistent User Memory?

  • On the Pro plan, would 100 different customers each have their own persistent User Memory?

  • And on the Business plan, would every customer have their own persistent User Memory?

Or have I misunderstood what these limits actually mean?

I’d really appreciate it if someone from the Pickaxe team or anyone familiar with this feature could clarify it.

Good question!

The User Memory limit on the pricing page does not refer to the number of end users who can have memory. It refers to the number of different memory fields, or memory instructions, you can create inside a workspace.

A User Memory is basically a prompt that tells your Agents what kind of information to remember about each user. For example, you might create a memory called “User Profile Summary” and instruct the Agent to remember the user’s name, goals, preferences, favorite colors, or a summary of what they have shared.

Each memory you create is shared across all users in your workspace. The plan limits refer to how many distinct memory types you can define, not how many users can have memory.

Gold allows you to create 1 memory field or instruction, Pro allows up to 100, and Business allows unlimited memory fields or instructions.

Each end user can still have their own stored value for those memories. For example, if you create one memory called “User Profile Summary,” each user can have their own unique version. This is not limited to just a single word or simple value; each memory can store rich, structured information and can be up to around 10,000 words, allowing for detailed lists or dynamic summaries that the AI maintains over time.
