I am creating a bot to help teens with some basic job research…things like salary, outlook, required skills, etc. Which language model should I use? ---

You will probably be happy with almost any of the models available from Pickaxe for that project. I’m currently working on a project that is equally demanding of the LLM as what you’ve described and we are having good success from GPT-4o (mini) ---

As others have mentioned, most models will do the job. I would recommend GPT-4o mini. Claude is another good option. Perhaps at one point, an enterprising user or admin will write a comparative model guide. ---

No problem…. Hi, Mike. This is Jay from Life After 12th. We Zoomed last week about my career guidance work with young people and the bot I created to help with research. I secured an API key as we discussed, and I am looking to go live next week and pitch to my first organization. You really helped me out quite a bit on that call. I felt confident being able to move forward. I had a few more questions…1) I just wanted to make sure I was running the bot with the best language model. What do you recommend? 2) regarding actions… I thought it would be ideal to have a student receive an email with some of the content of the chat, but it winds up being a giant paragraph of text. Can I provide formatting instructions that will allow the email to look like a report with headings, bullet points, etc.? 3) regarding actions…I want to create a PDF file of the chat summary that could be sent to the coach’s email address so they can store it and do a follow-up. I know how to run the PDF action, so can I just have the bot let the coach know that they can provide an email address if they’d like a copy? I though I remember you saying that you can’t run two actions in a row. If there’s a better way to ask these questions, please let me know. Thanks. I booked a call for tomorrow. Thank you.
