All actions always fail

Unfortunately, even in several studios, all actions that I use fail, like the pre-built ones by Pickaxe as well as my own. I always encounter an error with the provider. They get triggered and they get executed. That’s what I at least see with the ones I built myself, but then the pickaxe doesn’t show the result of anything. It’s my own, but as well as the pre-built ones, I always get this error.

Anybody has an idea? Please let me know. It’s kind of urgent. Already sent us a message to support, but maybe somebody had the same problem?

Hi, @easydeutsch

Could you please provide some Pickaxe ids that are failing action calls?

I tried already to use my own API key and Pickaxe credits. I tried it with GPT Imagine 1.5 Nano Banana, all with my own API and Pickaxe credit. They all fail. The image generation doesn’t work whatsoever, and my own actions fail most of the time, sometimes not, but usually it is 8 out of 10 times it fails with my own actions but image generation fails 100% unless I use flux schnell but quakity there is crappy.

Tested GPT 1.5 and just had the same error: “You’ve encountered a provider error.”

Thanks for checking @hurmuli

@easydeutsch @hurmuli the issue should be resolved now

Now it´s working but execution time is still a bit insane… 3min for 1 picture…. Is tehre a way to make this reasonably fast?

Working again, though only if I start a new chat. Old chat did not work. Not sure why this happens.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently experiencing the same issue across my agents and studios. Since yesterday afternoon, all agents have been returning the following error:

“You’ve encountered a provider error.”

This is happening consistently and is preventing normal usage. I already contacted support and shared Session IDs, but I wanted to post here as well to check if others are facing the same problem or have any updates.

If anyone has additional information or has found a workaround, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you.

UPDATE

Quick update in case this helps others experiencing the same issue.

In my case, the error “You’ve encountered a provider error” appears to have stopped after I removed and then added a new API key for Claude (which was the model my agents were using). After re-adding the key, everything returned to normal.

I cannot verify whether this was the root cause, but it might be worth checking or regenerating the API key if you’re seeing the same behavior.

Hope this helps.

Not working AGAIN!

wanted to share an additional update regarding this issue.

Although re-adding the Claude API key seemed to temporarily restore normal behavior, the problem is still occurring. I’ve identified that the error consistently appears in agents where file upload permissions are enabled and a file is sent during the conversation.

In these cases, the agent fails to respond and returns the same message:

“You’ve encountered a provider error.”

Below is a new Session ID from today where the error can be observed after attempting to send a file:

  • 8566a4c5-2e3b-4263-8b76-a479875ed3d7

Based on this behavior, it appears the issue may be specifically related to file handling or provider interaction when attachments are involved.

@mbenatti Thanks for following up! I took a look at the session in question - if the problem is persisting, could you lower the token limit in the Pickaxe in question and see if that resolves the problem?

Hi,

I have been experiencing the same issue since yesterday. I tried all the suggested steps above, but unfortunately nothing helped. What is happening is that photographers upload their photos and ask for feedback. However, only some of them receive the message: “You’ve encountered a provider error.”

Interestingly, if they ask again, for example “Can you repeat it?” or “Can you write it one more time?”, the chat responds correctly and clearly knows what was in the photo.

I am seeing this behaviour on this chat: LumiBot

Could anyone please help me resolve this? Image upload is a key part of my chats, and this situation does not look good from a user experience perspective.

Thank you,
J.

Hi @cleverphotographer, thanks for asking! I would encourage you to check out this post and go through the troubleshooting steps there. If none of those work for you, you can respond here or shoot us an email at info@pickaxeproject.com with the Session IDs where you encountered the error, and we would be more than happy to look into it for you!
