Application error

A user just sent me an error message that when he goes to my Pickaxe studio on my custom domain, it shows an application error:

Apparently, one of the smart customers also found out that the application error is caused by the auto-translate option of the Chrome browser, so when Google Translate kicks in.

It’s not a very urgent thing for me, as all my customers are actually teachers, so they should not have those settings on for German. But this sometimes kicks in if the user’s browser is set to a different language, and then it just auto-translates sometimes. That apparently breaks Pickaxe, so that’s definitely something you guys should have a look at.

Hey @easydeutsch! You’ve correctly identified the issue - digging into the error message, looks like this is probably the result of a translation browser extension. This is the most common reason for client-side errors on Pickaxe, and should go away once the extension has been disabled.

I made a ticket for our engineers (PRD 1019) to look into it - we obviously want to limit the degree to which extensions cause issues, and maybe they can do something to assist!
