I want to create a Pickaxe that helps user define their brand voice.
-
I then want every other pickaxe in the studio to reference that Brand Voice.
What is the best way to do this?
Currently thinking I have step 1: render out a PDF. Then, create a dedicated Pickaxe that is exclusively set up for them to upload the file as a knowledge bank document. It would serve no other purpose.
But what if they want to upload an updated document for theri brand voice. How will it know which one to site?
Hi @benhartley ,
At this time, users cannot upload files directly to the knowledge base, but the feature you are likely thinking of is end-user uploaded documents. In the Builder for your Pickaxe that handles uploads, you can set it to “All tools for each user.”
This links any uploaded document to the end user’s profile, so it will be accessible across all Pickaxes in your Studio for that end user.
In your other Pickaxes, you can go to the Configure tab and look for the token length setting for uploaded documents. Adjusting the token limit allows more of the uploaded document to be referenced.
With this setup, any uploaded document will be linked to the user’s Studio account and can be referenced by your Pickaxes as needed.
Thank you - Would a better option be for me to create a stored memory of the client’s brand identity?
Is that reliable?
Hi @benhartley ,
Yes, using user memory could work for your use case, but keep in mind that user memory is stored as a summary rather than as the full document. If you want your Pickaxes to reference the document content verbatim, uploaded documents are a better choice.
Here are some useful videos that explain uploaded documents and user memory, and how each of these features works:
