Hey Team, are you guys planning on adding Claude Haiku 4.5 to the model list? It would be cool to test this. I’m currently using Claude Sonnet 4.5 but it’s pretty expensive to run. Haiku 4.5 seems like a solid alternative. Please add this to the model list, thanks guys!

Could something like Straico work?
A really good Straico/OpenRouter deal could be strategic for Pickaxe, allowing them to focus on the platform, and let the specialists deal with sorting, scoring, connecting, merging, etc. the outputs of multiple models.
@motheraigaia I totally agree Haiku 4.5 should be on pickaxe not only is it significantly cheaper but if given the right instructions or skills.md files it could be a very powerful LLM

@kenlyle I can totally see that happening with the new AI helper and version control additions. Pickaxe can easily add LLM testing features on top. I feel like the UI now is much more advanced and open to such implementations. Nice suggestion!

Great work guys! You’re doing an awesome job fixing bugs and dropping new features. I’m happy to be building with you guys and I think the future is super bright for your company.
I switched from Sonnet 4.5 to Haiku 4.5 and ran into a couple bugs right off the bat. The chat is working well and so is the google search action.
I lost the ability to take a photo through the chat and the ability to upload an image through my camera roll. It will only let me try to take or upload a video. There’s no way to switch it to an image.
It used to say “take a photo or video” and now it just says “take a video”. And when I go to my camera roll I can only see videos (no images). I’ll upload a gif here.
I switched back to Sonnet 4.5 and it was fixed so this only appears to be happening in Haiku 4.5.
Also the action for Nano Banana stopped working with Haiku 4.5. It will try to generate an image but it never actually passes the image back. Again I switched back to Sonnet 4.5 and it worked fine.
Hopefully you guys can get these issues ironed out. I’m excited to keep testing Haiku 4.5. Thanks for the hard work!

first off, thank you again for taking the time to test this and share your results
for now, to make sure the model correctly references your uploaded image, please include the following line in your prompt role section (as shown in the attached example of dancing cheese, credits to @stephenasuncion )
“Make sure you respond with the referenced image URL.”
that short instruction ensures the model explicitly acknowledges and uses the image generated.
we’re working on making this step automatic so soon you won’t need to manually update your prompt and the system will handle it behind the scenes for you
