Simply clicked the X on that message to get back some screen space (the UI, when answering questions from the LLM in chat is terrible, as the answer window grows, and obscures the questions), and the screen refreshed to a new Pickaxe.
I lost a LOT of work, but fortunately, I have most of the content saved as files. There was another request for some kind of Auto-Save. This should be implemented, because these events are very demoralizing.
Hi @kenlyle, thanks for letting us know about this! To clarify, when you checked version history you were not able to find what you had been working on? If so, I can check with our engineers to see if the work might be recoverable!
@kenlyle would you mind either replying here or sending an email to info@pickaxeproject.com with the name of the Pickaxe and, if possible, the session ID (which you can find in Message Insights)?
Unfortunately, I really can’t. I was working on a pair of PAs in a studio, and don’t recall which.
It’s not like there will be a message “Pickaxe destroyed your project in progress”.
This one should be pretty easy to replicate in concept, but, fortunately, seems very intermittent.
@kenlyle very fair! I appreciate you reporting it - if you can give me the name of the Studio I will do a bit of digging. Otherwise if you could let us know the next time it happens, I would be very grateful - we definitely don’t want users losing their work!
