Hi everyone!
Pickaxe now supports connecting to n8n via MCP, allowing you to trigger workflows and run automations through your Pickaxes.
Set up your n8n workflow
Start by going to n8n.io and signing in to your account. Once logged in, either create a new workflow or open an existing one.
Click Add first step,
search for MCP Server Trigger, and select it.
When the configuration panel opens, locate the MCP URL setting, switch it to Production URL, and copy the URL. This is the endpoint your Pickaxe will use to connect to n8n.
From there, build out your workflow as needed. Once your workflow is complete, make sure to set it to Active. If the workflow is not active, Pickaxe will not be able to connect to it.
Next, open your Pickaxe and navigate to the Actions tab.
In the Actions Library, search for n8n and select Add n8n MCP.
Give your MCP server a name, paste in the Production URL you copied from n8n, and click Add. Your Pickaxe is now connected to your n8n workflow.
Once connected, simply define in the role prompt how and when your Pickaxe should use the workflow. With that in place, your Pickaxe is fully linked to n8n MCP and ready to power advanced automations.
