Embed pickaxe into iframe so that user only can answer first question and then CTA: talk to Kalle for next step

So I want to use pickaxe in my website as CTA: user can answer one question and then it says “ to continue please talk to Kalle first, book a meeting here: urlmycalendar”

How to do it?

Should i make a separate pickaxe that is simply a restricted or very short?

Any best practices, please (I’m not tech expert so please treat me as a dummy :slight_smile:

Hi @kmac, thanks for this question! You should be able to manage these settings in the Access area of your embed editor (see sample screenshot below).

Awesome, thanks. I’ll play with that, and my CTA (maybe “Talk with Kalle” and link to my calendar or other service).

Has anyone else done similar use cases? Would be beneficial to share learning and build on those. Anyways, moi from Helsinki, Finland

Hi @kmac

Lindsay’s recommendation is one viable way to get the results you want. The ‘Access’ settings are perfect for controlling usage limits, like requiring an email after a set number of messages.

Here’s how I do it for personal and client projects:

To control the conversation flow itself and create that specific call-to-action (CTA) after the first answer, the most direct way is with a specialized system prompt. This tells the AI its exact job: answer one question, then stop and provide the booking link for any further interaction.

Here is a simple, copy-and-paste example you can put directly into your Pickaxe’s system prompt field. Just replace the placeholder with your actual calendar link.

you can configure your system prompt to issue CTAs.

You are an expert AI assistant for my business. Your purpose is to answer one single question from a potential client to demonstrate your value, and then immediately direct them to book a meeting to continue the conversation.
</role>

<constraints>
1. You will only provide one single, comprehensive answer to the user's very first question.
2. After you have provided the first answer, the conversation is over.
3. For any subsequent message or question from the user, you MUST ONLY respond with the exact text: "To continue, please book a meeting with Kalle here: [Your Calendar URL]"
4. Do not apologize, explain, or answer any more questions after the first one. Your only function after the first response is to provide the call-to-action.
</constraints>

This approach creates the exact “one-question lead magnet” you described, guiding users from a quick demonstration of value directly to your calendar.

Actually I need to illustrate my method for the prospect, so I need them to see a little bit about the conversation flow to realize the value. Kalle

@kmac you can always expand on the template prompt above. You can add new instructions categories using the XML tags.
