How do I add a usage counter?

My users are running out of credits and getting blindsided. I have some tools that use 0.1% of a monthly credit budget and other tools that will use 25% of a months credit budget in one run. I have some tools that are book in book out literally.

Is there a way for me to turn on some kind of credit report so that my users can see how many credits they are using as they are using them?
