Hi, so I’'m Building yOCA a pickaxe that helps founders to develop their business Communication foundations, a Key elementi Is After they answered some questions the yOCA should run an elaborated research protocol 5 areas 25 queries. I tried both the Perplexity and the Google Search actions but It seems that yOCA dosen’t manages to run them, I have tried diffrent prompts, i changed the trigger prompt in the actions, etc… I’m using the Claude Sonnet 4.5 model as the base ai for this pickaxe… any idea? thanks

Hi @ivanturatti and welcome to the Pickaxe community!
Short answer:
If your build doesn’t require connected actions, I suggest switching to either the Sonar or Sonar Pro LLMs because they can conduct the market research for you without needing to connect to the Perplexity action.
Quick fix:
- Sonar/Pro are better for market research because they can handle the queries you need, without the complexity or cost of using Perplexity or Claude Sonnet 4.5.
- Claude Sonnet 4.5 is overkill unless you’re doing complex reasoning, math, or coding. If not, switching to Sonar or Sonar Pro will be more cost-effective and should meet your needs.
- Perplexity is great for deep searches but requires an API key, and if you’re not relying on other connected actions, you can stick with Sonar and Sonar Pro which are optimized for search without the need for an external action.
Why this fits your constraints:
- Cost-effective: Sonar and Sonar Pro are more affordable than Claude Sonnet 4.5, while still handling the research tasks.
- Efficient: These LLMs can pull in the research and return results without connecting to additional actions or APIs.
- Easier setup: You don’t need to worry about complicated connected action flows.
Guardrails (keeps it smooth):
- If you don’t need anything outside of basic research, Sonar or Sonar Pro are the best choice for you.
- Avoid complexity - these models are designed for research and querying, and they’ll keep your automation simple and effective.
If you’d like, I can walk you through the setup for Sonar or Sonar Pro to make sure it’s synced properly with your workflow. Let me know what you need!
