Webscan Action is not connecting

I am trying to scan either an online PDF or a website link. What is the best approach to do this to scan and pull data from a webpage to put into the final output? I can’t connect as owner or user to the MCP attached. How does this work exactly?

Hi @rainmaker ,
Thank you for reaching out. I’ve reported this to our engineering team, and they are currently investigating the behavior. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I’ll follow up with you as soon as I have an update or once a fix is available.

Hi there,
Thank you for your patience.

We’ve recently pushed a fix that resolves the connection issues for most Smithery MCPs. However, the specific “Webscan” MCP you’re trying to use is still experiencing connection problems that appear to originate on the Smithery side. This behavior is caused by limitations or errors within that MCP itself and is not something we’re able to control or resolve from the Pickaxe side at this time.

You may want to explore other MCPs or actions that offer similar functionality, create a custom action to handle this workflow, or use our Knowledge Base feature, which is well-suited for scanning and referencing content from PDFs and webpages in a reliable way.

Regarding how end-user authentication for MCP servers works more generally, I recommend reviewing the following resources:
