Is it GPT5?
I’m currently in tier 3 of OpenAis API. The responses for GPT5 are pretty slow. Will the speed increase as more tiers are unlocked? GPT4.1 is faster but it’s not quite doing it for me as far as reasoning goes.
Is anyone using GPT5 and the response is fast? I’d say responses for me take anywhere from 5-10 seconds.
What APIs are you guys using that are effective and fast? Any info would be appreciated, thanks guys!
The GPT 5 is slow for me on chatgpt app also. It is a model that usually thinks longer. In the pickaxe builder you can choose the level of how long it thinks before answering. That could speed it up. I use Claude for most of my pickaxes and I’ve been happy with the speed of my results.
@motheraigaia unfortunately, we’ve had many users reporting this; it seems as though GPT 5 has been slow all around. I would recommend lowering thinking capabilities where possible, or trying out other models like Claude while they work things out over there!
