Are You Fading out API Usage?

Hey team,

I cancelled my Pickaxe account after seeing how much costs went up for my favorite models.

Would prefer to pay usage instead through Claude API instead of directly through Pickaxe.

My question: are API keys going away or is that remaining a core part of the product?

I remember Nathan saying somewhere that you were phasing out API keys and I just wanted to confirm or see if that was still the case or not

Yup we’re phasing BYOK out! See here. Though the new system is effectively the same in pretty much every way as paying the model providers directly, just mediated by us.
