Hey @maverick did you add this in requests?
Thereâs already two requests on this, and I thought better to not include another.
Plus, the auto summary feature was the one that kinda broke the earlier workaround (I asked the user to start the chat with a Name and Date so it gets captured as the chat name), so I figured I shouldnât call it a feature request.
Hi @maverick, apologies for the delay - this is a very good idea for a feature! I will pass that along to our engineers for potential implementation in the near term
Hi @lindsay_support , this issue was acknowledged since April (4 months ago).
Please help because we are really running out of excuses to tell our clients. If the fix cannot be rollout, perhaps just revert to the previous version where the first input is used as the name of the chat? Currently, with the auto summaries, the users had to click on multiple chats to find the one they were looking for.
Please help.
Hi @maverick, I completely understand the frustration. We have added a number of team members since then, and it looks as though this request was lost in the shuffle - our apologies. But last week after responding here, I spoke with our CEO about it and added this task to our engineerâs to-do list, so we really are working on getting it done in the near term! If you donât see a fix in the next month, please shoot us a note at info@pickaxeproject.com or write back here.
Hi @maverick, thanks for your patience - this feature has officially been added! If you double click on the chat as itâs named in the side bar, you can change the name to whatever you want
Great news! Thank you!
Also is it possible to give us access to edit chat naming prompt (I believe you have it under the hood?).
Because my chat naming cannot be overriden by any promts in any window, I experimented a lot.
@conrad can you elaborate on what you mean here, and also the use case for this proposed feature?
Wow! Finally! Thank you so much! After months of chasing, now we can update our clients. Appreciate your help!
For the function to delete chat(s), I used this temporary fix. (đ§ Delete chat memory (temporary solution))
Will the renaming feature break the delete chat feature?
What a cool temporary fix - Bruno is the best! Iâm not sure how this change will impact it; if @stephenasuncion has the time, he can weigh in, and if not I would recommend testing it out!
On an exciting note, we are also working on allowing end users to delete chats as a built-in feature, so hopefully the temporary fix should not be necessary too much longer
