Hello,

Is there another deep research model other than Sonar Deep Research? Preferably something native on Pickaxe instead of relying on third party like n8n or Make.

At the moment, Sonar Deep Research is the main native deep research model available.

That said, there are some action-based research alternatives you can use inside Pickaxe depending on the workflow you want, including:

  • Answer with Perplexity
  • WebPilot
  • Google Search
  • Google Scholar
  • Crossref Search

You can find them by opening the Actions tab of the Builder:

I’m moving this thread to the Feature Requests section so we can track it more effectively internally. I’ll make sure it’s raised with the team.

In the meantime, it would be really helpful if you could share which specific models you’d like to see supported, or which deep research models you’re currently using elsewhere.

Hi Danny,

Thanks. Would be nice to have the GPT version of deep research. I’m also having doubts about the perplexity ones where the results returns so quickly, within a minute or 2, while the ones we run on GPT can take more than 30 minutes and yields better results.
