Is there anything akin to Git-type features on our product roadmap? Editing A clients live prompt, even though it’s still in a prelaunch environment makes me nervous.
The easiest solution would likely be to duplicate the set of Pickaxe’s so that I have a sandbox, but it just occurred to me that the ability to create suggested changes and then the lead could test the proposed changes before committing them would be an amazing feature for enterprise customers I think.
Meanwhile, my noobish understanding is that I name my Studio like XYZ v 0.1 and then clone it to XYZ 0.5, and delete the junky dev things that don’t make the cut. I have separate URLs for testing each version.
When each version passes our testing, I move the custom domain from the old studio to the new studio.
Make sense?
I am open to better ideas.
Yes, that’s a good way to manage versioning and testing.
Another method we’ve seen some users use is to maintain a central “production” Studio where the custom domain stays permanently connected. They then rotate Pickaxes in and out of that Studio as updates are made.
Hey, The minimal version control that just dropped helps.
Please consider to make it work more like Gumloop, where checkpoints can be renamed…that helps a lot.
Should this be a separate FR? How does the team like to organize? Maybe for 1.0 features, it’s better to continue the original thread like this?
Creating a new Feature Request would be best since it helps us organize feedback and makes it easier for other users to find and vote on your suggestion about renaming version control stages/drafts.
