💯 Make MCP Integration Now Available in Pickaxe

Hi everyone!

Pickaxe now integrates with Make MCP, letting you seamlessly connect your Pickaxes to Make scenarios, and more, so you can enhance your tools with powerful automations.

Getting Started

  1. Go to make.com and sign in to your account.
Click your profile icon in the top right corner, go to Profile,

then open the API access tab.

  2. Click Add token,

then select the scopes you want to use.

To enable MCP connectivity, make sure the mcp:use scope is included.

IMPORTANT:
Avoid selecting mcp-vhost:read or mcp-vhost:write. These scopes appear to relate to internal hosting features in Make, and based on our testing, they can cause the MCP connection to fail.

  1. Next, name your token and click Add.

  2. Open the Pickaxe Builder and go to the Actions tab.

  3. Select Add MCP Server

  4. and choose the Make MCP Server configuration template.

  5. In the URL field, you will see a placeholder example that shows the required structure.

  6. Replace <MAKE_ZONE> with the region that appears in your browser’s address bar when you are on Make.

For example, if your address begins with us2.make.com, then use us2.make.com as your zone.

  7. Next, replace <MCP_TOKEN> with the API token you created earlier and click Add to finish creating the server.

Your Make MCP server will appear in the list, and you can connect it directly to your Pickaxe.

After the connection is set up, you can configure your Pickaxe’s role prompt to define how it should interact with your Make scenarios and use the tools available through your MCP server.

Your Pickaxe is now fully connected to Make MCP and ready to automate a wide range of workflows.

We look forward to seeing the creative and powerful automations you build with this new integration.
