✨ New Feature: You can now turn off “Display Reasoning Steps”

Hi everyone!

A quick update many of you have been waiting for. You now have full control over whether your Pickaxe shows its reasoning steps to end-users.

Sometimes builders want full transparency for educational tools. Other times, especially for client-facing or polished assistants, you may prefer to keep the behind-the-scenes thinking hidden. You can now toggle this on or off with one click.

:wrench: Where to find it

Inside your Pickaxe Builder → Prompt tab → Capabilities section.
You will see a new toggle labeled “Display reasoning steps to users.”

:light_bulb: Why this matters

  • Gives you more control over user experience

  • Helps keep your tool clean and professional-looking

  • Useful when your instructions already guide the model well

  • Great for premium or white-label deployments where you don’t want internal logic exposed

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Note

This option only appears on models that support visible reasoning steps, such as Claude models and Perplexity models. Models without this capability will not show the toggle.

"Loading bar" for long thinking times

Can someone paste an example of what this would look like when reasoning steps are shown? I don’t use those models so I wouldn’t see them.
