🎉 New in Pickaxe Forms: “Add Other” option is here

We just shipped a small feature that solves a very real problem in Forms. You can now enable an Add “other” option for select-type questions.

What does it do?
When a user sees a list of predefined options and none of them quite fit, they can choose Other and type their own answer. That custom input is then submitted along with the form, just like any other response.

Why this is useful
Forms are great because they’re structured, but real users don’t always fit neatly into fixed choices. This feature keeps your form clean while still giving users flexibility.

A few common examples:

  • Intake forms where you don’t want to miss edge cases

  • Surveys where you want structured data but still allow nuance

  • Lead forms where users might have a unique use case you didn’t anticipate

  • Internal tools where teams want speed without losing detail

Best part
You still get the benefits of dropdowns and multiple choice, while capturing richer, more accurate inputs from users.

Check out the attached GIF to see how it looks in action.

Add other option

If you’re building Forms in Pickaxe, this one’s worth turning on.

As always, would love to hear how you’re planning to use it or if you want enhancements on top of this :raising_hands:
