Does anyone have any more insight into this regarding prepay credits? It would be great if they went back to being billed per usage and not prepay.

@rainmaker This is now a common trend among AI-driven companies with API access. The goal (big picture) is to force users to calculate anticipated usage of their apps and pay in advance.

It’s a shift that’s good for 2 things:

  1. The users become better (more-involved) micro-SaaS operators.
  2. The API providers have more cash flow on hand and spend less on payment processing due to bill-as-you-go schemes.
