Studio invite email

Not sure if this has been discussed, but is there a setting to change the access email that is sent to new users?

Also, when receiving this access email, it is sent from welcome@pickaxeproject.com with the profile picture as one of you guys. Can this be changed too, Would like to have a bit more of a personal touch.

see image below:

There is not currently a way to customize the email sender address for studio invites. We’ve tried to make the rest of the email customizable, but haven’t found an elegant solution for this part yet. The problem we are running into is generating tons of new emails runs into issues with getting marked as spam as opposed to using a trusted email domain.

We are aware that this lack of customization threatens the white-label brand–ability’ of our user’s Studios and are working to address it with a long-term solution.

@admin_mike Any updates on this?

Also – I have the studio on a custom domain but the invite link is showing the pickaxe domain

No updates on customizable emails from studios.

When you invite users to the studio through the share link in the monitor tab there is an option select which domain you want to use in the invitation. This is because many users have multiple custom domains connected. Then you can select the domain you want to use in the dropdown. This sounds complex but it’s pretty straightforward. I’m including a screenshot of it for your convenience.

Thank you - when I retested the sharing option that worked.

I use Vbout to sent emails from my verified domain. I can access a Vbout API key, or even connect pickaxe to Vbout (or any other mailer) using Pabbly connect?

We don’t currently allow users to connect their own email server. Maybe in the future, but for now it is a bridge too far for our platform which wants to keep thinks simple.

Just ran into this today. I’m setting up a paid onboarding flow — customer buys, Zap fires, Pickaxe invite goes out automatically. That invite email is literally the first thing my customer sees after purchasing.

The Settings → Mailing section is so close

I see Magic Link, Verification, and Password Reset are all editable with full HTML support. But the invite email isn’t there.

A few things I’d love to be able to control:

  • Subject line (right now it’s just “Invitation from [Studio Name]”)
  • Body copy — even just one line of context so the customer knows what they’re clicking into
  • Sender name or reply-to address

Is there any workaround in the meantime? And is this still on the roadmap?

Thanks ya’ll!

Hi @covetedconsultant,

This is a good feature to have! Our team is working on having the invitation email be customizable and should be out soon. As for controlling the body and sender name/reply-to address I might need more clarification. You can edit the body of each of the emails available here:

This pulls up the HTML where you can alter any part of the message. You can modify the part you want and it will show up in the email.

This includes adding a sender’s name or their address if they want to get emails from the user.

If this is not the kind of customization you’re talking about, please let me know!

Hello @covetedconsultant,

Thank you for waiting so long! We have just released the ability to customize invitation emails! If you head over to Deployments>Deploy Settings and scroll down, you will be able to find the Invitation Email template which you can modify!

Please go ahead and test this out and let us know if it’s working or not!
