Hey Pickaxers..
How do we use a private domain link for our verification (email activation links)? instead of the one automatically sent - which has studio.pickaxe.co?
Thanks

Hi and thanks for your response, Abhi. I actually wasn’t referring to the ‘from email’ as mine is already set to myname@mail.studio . I was referring actually to the verification link that gets sent out: which has: https://studio.pickaxe.co…etc(verification link). This is the link they get sent on email.
Hope that clarifies it a bit!
Thanks
Karina
If you’re referring to the verification or magic login emails, yes those emails can be edited. You can customize the subject, content, and branding from your Studio settings. You can also add and enable a custom domain, which helps keep everything more on brand.

If this isn’t what you were looking for, I’m sorry if I’m still missing something. Please feel free to clarify and I’ll take another look.
The email in your video doesn’t match what I’m talking about. I’m referring to the specific email that is sent when a pickaxe widget has the email feature on the embed. (not studio verifications, just email to use an embed on my site). That email isn’t this one- cuz it doesn’t match the code. It actually says: If the button doesn’t work use this link. And that link has studio.pickaxe.co etc…
Can you please screenshot of the email?
Hi @karina! That’s very strange. In response to your inquiry, our team tested the magic email for your Studio and it looks like it sent the correct link. Further, I took a look in our email server and found an email sent by your Studio address earlier today, which also appears to show the correct link when I open it (see screenshots).
I see that, separately, there were two emails sent from this address on the 13th (when you initially made this post), and in those emails, the link is showing up (incorrectly) as studio.pickaxe.co, just as in your screenshot above.
Is there any chance your screenshot is from the December 13 email? Would you mind trying again, and sending us a screenshot of the most recent attempt if you’re still not seeing the correct URL?
Hi - yes the one with the pickaxe link is likely an earlier email from the 13th, where I had tested it. Can you please delete those screenshots? It has the email of one of my users. (going forward any screenshots from my work/site please send them to my private email) thanks. I’ll test and update you here. thanks for checking.
@karina of course - just removed, my apologies! Let me know how your testing goes
Okay so one good news but one really bad (lol!). the good news is - yes the link that came just now was studio.(my domain)… (so that’s resolved yay). I think that’s cuz after December 13th I did the cname records for the studio and so the link changed after that. Bad news now- there was a huge weird issue I found with testing today. So as I was using different emails on the SAME BROWSER - I wasn’t getting the email login at all. I must have used 6 different emails and no email login. Then I checked the chat history. AND DIFFERENT users had the SAME chat history cuz they were all logged into the SAME BROWSER. That is such an ISSUE. So then I cleared browser cache- and boom - the login appeared. BUT what would be the solution for different users having the same chat history because they log via the same browser?? (thank you for deleting the screenshots! ![]()
@karina I’m sorry to hear you’re having other issues! Would you mind sending us an email at info@pickaxeproject.com - and if possible, sending along any helpful screenshots - so we can help troubleshoot further?
hi @lindsay_support, I’m also building a platform lol… so I recognize issues are part of the process! I just sent the email. thanks for your time in helping me resolve this! ~karina
