Hi Pickaxe team,
We’re running into an access control issue with Pickaxe that’s creating a risk for our membership setup.
Here’s the situation:
-
We run a paid membership on Skool.
-
When someone joins, we manually grant them access to Pickaxe.
-
However, Pickaxe only creates a user profile after their first login.
The problem is:
If a member cancels their Skool membership before ever logging into Pickaxe, they never appear in Pickaxe at all. That means:
-
We can’t see their name or email in Pickaxe,
-
We can’t remove or revoke their access, because there’s no user record yet.
So operationally, we’re forced to:
-
Track cancelled users outside of Pickaxe, and
-
Manually check daily in case they later log in, just so we can remove them.
This isn’t scalable and creates a security/IP risk, since a cancelled user could still activate their Pickaxe access later.
What we’d love to see is one of the following options:
-
Ability to see and manage invited/pending users before first login,
-
Ability to revoke access by email even if they haven’t logged in yet, or
-
User records being created at the time access is granted (not first login).
Is there currently a workaround for this, or is something like this on your roadmap?
Thanks so much — we love Pickaxe and just want to make sure access control stays tight as we scale.
Best,
Jessica
