Hi Pickaxe team,
I need to escalate an urgent billing-path outage affecting multiple workspaces on my account. A real customer just emailed me unable to
complete a paid subscription, which is how I discovered this. The issue has likely been live for days or weeks without any visibility on my
side.
The error returned by Stripe on every “Activate plan” click:
No such price: 'price_xxxxxxxxxxxx';
a similar object exists in test mode,
but a live mode key was used to make this request.
Key facts:
- I have not touched any Stripe configuration on my end. No reconnect, no key rotation, no product edits.
- The issue affects multiple workspaces of mine simultaneously, including workspaces still on the legacy “uses” model that were never
migrated to credits. So this is NOT tied to the credits rollout. - The error message is unambiguous: Pickaxe’s backend is sending Stripe Checkout requests authenticated with my live API key but referencing
test mode price IDs. That environment mismatch can only happen server-side on Pickaxe.
Secondary symptom (probably same deploy): the legacy /pricing route on workspace subdomains now returns 404. The pricing table moved to
the workspace root, but combined with the Stripe bug, the entire paid funnel is dead.
Asks:
- Escalate to engineering immediately — this is a revenue outage, not a UI bug.
- Force a live-mode Stripe price ID resync on my workspaces.
- ETA for the fix and confirmation of the canonical pricing/checkout URL going forward.
- Account credit / compensation for the outage duration, given the impact and that I had no way to detect it.
I can share workspace IDs and additional broken price IDs in this thread if needed. Please reply at your earliest convenience — I am
available all day.
Thank you,
John!
