BYOK Gone! (And I will be too)

I am extremely frustrated as we had BYOK on our account and now it is magically gone.

I had signed up to PickAxe specifically for us to use our own key since we work with sensitive data working with doctors, financial advisors, and other consultants with IP.

We can not use shared keys it goes against our policy and will be leaving and finding a different solution if this is not brought back.

It is not right for a company to remove a major functionality that impacts our business.

Might as well just vibe code our own kind of “Studios” and PickAxes at this point if this is going to be the case.

Very disappointed this is happening and would like to speak with the owner or founder, as this is an unfair business practice.

Hi @gemeneye, I’ve already spoken to you about this via email, but to address the issue here: your key did not disappear “magically,” but was removed when you moved back to a Free tier subscription (which has never included BYOK).

As I also said: our API keys are the same as any other from a security perspective, and hold the same agreements from providers. We are now SOC II and GDPR compliant, and you can view details of the security currently offered by our platform at the Pickaxe Trust Center.

This transition was announced in October so as to provide users with ample notice. We appreciate your feedback, and in my email I also sent you a call link so we have the opportunity to discuss this further.
