Can we get an update when the Actions will be ready for us to start working on again? I understand from Nathaniel on the office hours, there are some updates you are doing this weekend?
Hi Doug, we made a series of big changes on Thursday evening and on Friday. Weâre asking folks to report back and let us know how things are going. From many folks weâve heard that their tools are working just as well as before, and from a few weâve heard about issues. Let us know your thoughts and weâll keep iterating!

Hi Nathaniel. My Actions are not working - I posted about it seperately yesterday. Do you know how I can get support with this? Iâm considering whether I want to upgrade to Pro with the BF special offer but the fact that I canât get actions working makes me wonder if I should.
It usually works well and I have had a great experience as a Pro user. The Actions just stopped working for me as they are doing some upgrades. Overall, I think Pro is a no brainer. IMHO

I have two actions connected to my Pickaxe. One to âSend Summary Details to Ownerâ and the other a âPabbly webhookâ. I added the pabbly webhook as the âSend Summary Details to ownerâ is not reliable enough (works sometime but other times it doesnât). Now both donât get triggered even when the AI clearly has the users contact details. What are you supposed to do to get this working?
This is my âSend Summary details to ownerâ prompt:
âWhen a user has given their email address (for any reason and at any time), use this action to send a summary Email to Owner. When sending the summary, say in the chat âSending a summary of the conversation to the team at XXXXXXâ.
This is my Pabbly Webhook prompt:
âWhen the user gives their name and email address and/or phone number, for any reason, then send the summary of the conversation AND their name AND their email address AND phone number if available. Send in the format of Name: name, Email: email, Phone: phone, Summary: summary of the conversation. When sending the data, say in the chat âSending user details to the Team at XXXXâ.
I have had both of these working a couple of weeks ago but now they donât work at all. I also had all my knowledgebase documents disconnected randomly from this same Pickaxe, and I had to go through and reconnect them all. Very frustrating when these random things happen without any changes done from my side.
Interesting that the Google search Action works still.
I also have a custom API I made for testing and that connects and works.
Nano Banana Action works.
Get Current Time Works.
Send an email summary to user works in the Pickaxe Builder, but not in the deployed Pickaxe.

Thanks Doug, sounds like it is a bigger problem than just my Pickaxes. Iâve found that the âemail summary to userâ is unreliable anyway, thatâs why I set up a webhook to Pabbly, and that was working really well but now it doesnât work. I wondered if they changed the AI model for the actions and thatâs why theyâve stopped working. Hopefully the team will get to the bottom of it soon.
I was on the office hours last week and Nathaniel mentioned they are working on a lot under the hood. In particular how actions work, particularly how Pickaxes talk to each other behind the scenes. I dont mind some downtime, but itâs awkward having my users asking and I dont really know whats going on or when it will work.
Im getting tired of troubleshooting it myself.

Iâm with you on that Doug. Itâs an important action to be able to send contact details that result from a chat. To go from them working to not working at all is not good. And I only knew about it because I was testing a Pickaxe that should go live very soon. I hope it is fixed before I need to explain why this action is not working as demonstrated to the client previously. I also wish there was a way to receive notifications / summary of chats, so I could keep an eye on them.

We did make the changes after Thursdays office hours. We made a lot of changes Thursday night and Friday morning, and actually many of the folks that were having action issues had their issues resolved. Are both of you still having issues with actions? There wasnât really downtime, just a change in the way actions were getting triggered. Doug, have you taken another look since Friday?

@nathaniel I noticed my issue with actions not working started on Saturday 29th, so after your changes, and it is affecting multiple pickaxes. Iâve sent an email to Pickaxe support.
My Pabbly webhook prompt is as follows (and it worked very well previously):
If the user gives their email address, then send the summary of the conversation AND their name AND their email address. Send in the format of Name: name, Email: email, Summary: summary of the conversation.When sending the data, say in the chat âSending user details to the Team at the XXXXâ.
And this is what my webhook got within 1 minute when tested by Abhi:

You will see that what is being sent to the webhook is not what the prompt is asking for. Plus why did it send it 4 times? Something is seriously not working with the Pabbly webhook prompt OR the default âSend Summary details to ownerâ - that just isnât working at all.
I hope this gets looked at and sorted asap.
Hi. Yes, I noticed this around Thursday and have been testing a lot since then. Here is a link to a specific pickaxe. It has actions that link to other pickaxes. Also the Email to user Action.

No the actions are still not working. Neither the âBasic Pabbly Webhookâ OR the âSend Summary Email to Ownerâ. Can you not revert back to before you made the changes to the Actions, and then do more testing before you role out new changes? At least then we can get back to working Actions, because right now the Action functionality is ânot functioningâ.
Devs, the send summary email is working ok for me now, but connecting to other pickaxes is not
Hi @dougfresh just wondering if you ever got your Actions working again? I had to remove the second action and can basically only use one action per pickaxe even though I should be able to have 3. I never got anywhere with Pickaxe support - my last email to support remains unanswered. Quite disappointing tbh, but at least I can use the Pabbly webhook with my Pickaxes.
