Hi folks- is there a known issue with Gemini 3 pro currently?
Using both Pickaxe credits AND trying my API key, the Gemini 3 model specifically (not others) is giving this error:
Provider Error: You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, head to: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/rate-limits. To monitor your current usage, head to: https://ai.dev/usage?tab=rate-limit. * Quota exceeded for metric: generativelanguage.googleapis.com/generate_requests_per_model_per_day, limit: 0
Yes, thanks so much for posting this, we noticed it too. We’re not sure if Google changed something, or what, but Gemini 3 pro went down. Other models were not affected.
Currently on Pickaxe we’re temporarily routing Gemini 3 pro traffic to OpenAI 5.1 while we look for a solution. Glad to know it wasn’t just our keys that were the issue! Seems like there are problems over at Google today. We’ve reached out to our contact there.

UPDATE: As of 5:50 pm ET- it appears to be working again.

We have also stopped redirecting traffic, Gemini 3 Pro seems to be working well again.
