Google Nano Banana 2

Pickaxe already has great integration with Google’s Nano Banana (the original Gemini-based image generation/editing model), which powers things like the Gemini Nano Banana action and related templates. It’s been super useful for building image workflows!

Google recently released Nano Banana 2, their latest iteration (also referred to as Gemini 3.1 Flash Image or similar in some contexts). It combines the advanced editing capabilities and subject consistency of Nano Banana Pro with much faster generation speeds, better prompt following, and improved overall quality for both text-to-image and image editing.

Many users (including me) are excited about it because it outperforms the previous version in speed and creative control, making it ideal for agentic workflows, rapid prototyping, client-facing tools, and real-time image tasks in Pickaxe-built agents.

Could the Pickaxe team please add official support for Nano Banana 2 as a new action/integration (or update the existing gemini-nano-banana action to point to the newest model version)?

This would be a high-value addition for anyone building visual AI tools on Pickaxe.

I agree this would be a great feature.

This has been added! Thanks so much for the request

Do we need to make a change or did all the NanoBanana actions get upgraded?

Nano Banana 2 shows up as a separate Action under the Actions tab
