New Feature - User Magic Link Login

:dizzy: Hello Pickaxe community!

We’ve recently added support for user email magic link login, which makes it easier to create more seamless sign-in experiences across different services or platforms that integrate with Pickaxe.

This feature allows you to generate a login link that pre-fills and authenticates a user by email. It helps smoothen situations where users have to manage multiple separate logins/sign-ups.

To create a working link, use this format:

https://example.com/?action=email-login&email=example@mail.com

Make sure you replace example.com with your Pickaxe studio URL or custom domain. Insert your user’s email addresses or set up automations to prefill the placeholder by replacing example@mail.com.

This feature allows you to include magic links in onboarding emails, membership portals, or dashboards, making it easier for users to access your Pickaxe tools. It is also compatible with platforms such as Memberspace, GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make, and others.

If you have any setup questions or use case ideas, feel free to post them here!

does this mean no email will be sent for email validation? they just click the link and their are in? the email verification has been painful when i do a workshop and 50 people are wading through spam folder and company slow to deliver email.

Hi! Thank you for your question.

Users will still need to click a verification link in their email to gain access. The magic link feature does not remove email verification, but it does eliminate the need for users to enter a password. It also allows you to automate and prefill user emails, which makes the login/signup process faster.

Sweet feature thank you!

Is it possible to link to the sign in light box? Let’s say I had a “sign up” button on an external website, when clicked could it open the sign-up fields?

Hi @taedog2020 @stephenbdiaz @Beckett ,

I wanted to let y’all know about a new feature we’ve added that allows you to enable email login directly in your embeds, in case it’s something you might be interested in. You can turn this on by going to your embed settings and, under the Access section, enabling the Email Login option.

@Beckett Regarding your question about having a sign-up button on an external website, you can configure it to redirect users to your Studio using a magic link. If set up correctly, their email address will be prefilled. Please note that the magic link feature works through redirects, so it will not generate a popup on the external site if that is what you were asking.
