Lead Magnet Result Lock / Email Unlock for Embedded Pickaxe Tools

Feature Request: Lead Magnet Result Lock / Email Unlock for Embedded Pickaxe Tools

Hi Pickaxe team,

I would love to request a native feature for lead magnet-style Pickaxe embeds where creators can show part of a generated result, then lock or blur the rest until the user enters their email address.

Use Case

I’m building public mini-tools for pastors and ministry teams, such as:

Church Announcement Makeover
A user enters rough church announcement details, and the tool turns them into polished copy for:

  • Sunday stage announcement

  • Email/newsletter blurb

  • Facebook post

  • Instagram caption

  • Church app notification

  • SMS/text reminder

  • Website/calendar description

  • Final reminder

For public blog posts, social traffic, and free lead magnets, I would like visitors to receive an immediate preview, such as:

  1. Sunday Stage Announcement

  2. Facebook/Instagram Post

Then the rest of the generated result would be blurred, grayed out, or hidden behind an email unlock.

Requested Feature

A native Pickaxe setting that allows the builder to:

  1. Choose which output sections are visible for free.

  2. Blur, gray out, or hide selected sections of the generated result.

  3. Show an email opt-in popup or inline form to unlock the full result.

  4. Send the email address and tool/result details to an integration such as Zapier, Make, Kajabi, AWeber, ConvertKit, Mailchimp, or webhook.

  5. Optionally reveal the full generated result on the page after opt-in.

  6. Optionally email the full result to the user.

  7. Track opt-ins and conversion rates by tool/deployment.

Why This Would Be Helpful

This would make Pickaxe much stronger as a lead generation platform, not just a tool-building platform.

Many creators want to embed small AI tools in:

  • blog articles

  • landing pages

  • social media campaigns

  • resource pages

  • free tool libraries

  • waitlist pages

The current embed experience is great for creating tools, but a native “preview → email unlock → full result” flow would make public embedded tools far more useful for building an email list while still giving visitors immediate value.

Example Flow

  1. Visitor lands on a blog post.

  2. They use an embedded Pickaxe tool.

  3. Pickaxe generates a result.

  4. Visitor sees the first two sections.

  5. Remaining sections are blurred or locked.

  6. A message appears:
“Want the full announcement pack? Enter your email and we’ll send it to you.”

  7. Visitor enters email.

  8. Pickaxe unlocks the full result and/or emails it.

  9. Email and metadata are sent to the creator’s email platform or webhook.

Suggested Settings

It would be wonderful if each deployment could include settings such as:

  • Enable lead magnet mode: yes/no

  • Visible sections before opt-in

  • Locked sections after opt-in

  • Email capture required: yes/no

  • Unlock on-page after email: yes/no

  • Email full result to user: yes/no

  • Send result to owner: yes/no

  • Integration/webhook destination

  • Custom opt-in headline/button text

  • Custom privacy/consent text

Why This Matters

This would help Pickaxe users turn public AI tools into list-building assets without needing custom development. It would also help protect usage by encouraging intentional, higher-value interactions instead of giving away full high-cost outputs publicly with no lead capture.

Thanks for considering this. I think this would be a powerful feature for anyone using Pickaxe tools as lead magnets, content upgrades, or public free tools.

Hi @gotinternetmarketing! I think the closest way to accomplish this in our current system would be to do the following:

  • Set up an access group that allows 1 free use
  • Use prompting within your agent to make sure that the opening response requires a follow-up - in other words, tell it not to give a complete response within 1 use

Having a blur tool sounds nice, though it would require a ton of backend overhauling - if we get some more upvotes here, we can try to get it done!
