I hit 100 uses today, and this app has been pinging me almost daily with new user sign ups.
It’s 100% SEO. I made a few reddit posts like 9 months ago. Other than that, it’s been all organic. I probably should make some tik tok videos.
I only have one paid user, but I’ve built up a little email list that continues to grow. I’ll have to implement a newsletter at some point. Kind of exciting because I’ve never had a list before.
Since I have primarily free users, I’m going to start running some adsense to it. I just applied for Google to review my site today, so hopefully it goes through.
I also embedded some affiliate links, but so far all of my banner ads have flopped. I wasn’t testing this enough, but since there are more users, I created 3 new ads today. I changed from physical products promotions to digital product promotions in the make money with a.i niche. I’m thinking it should be a better fit for a.i. app users.
All of my other apps aren’t generating traffic like this… but this one is giving me motivation to continue building more. I just wanted to share this small win.
I’d love to hear if others have found success running affiliate ads, adsense, or newsletters.

I think I overlooked that list building angle with my pickaxes. With lots freebie seekers around, it makes complete sense. Build a niche based chat app, allow people to reasonably use it for free, then do affiliate marketing on that list.
