AssemblyAI: not links but mp3 or m4a files

The AssemblyAI trigger prompt is:

“When the user enters an audio link, transcribe using the AssemblyAI tool.”

As far as I can tell, the audio link has to be a public link. I don’t want to make my audio links public, so I would rather the uer upload an mp3 file in my Pickaxe, which could then be passed to AssemblyAI.

AssemblyAI will accept an mp3 file.

But when I demo the Pickaxe, I can never upload an mp3 file, even when it’s small (less than 25 megs). The mp3 files are greyed out, and I can’t select them. I even tried modifying the trigger prompt to allow for .mp3 files, but that didn’t unlock anything.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Alexis

Hi @alexisjdiamond,
Thank you for your question.

At this time, uploading MP3 files is not yet supported on Pickaxe. The file upload options cannot be changed through the instructional prompts. If this functionality is important for your workflow, we encourage you to submit it as a Feature Request. You can also connect with one of our Pickaxe Experts to explore potential workarounds that may fit your use case.

100% i want this feature too! I want to upload audio files into Pickaxe.

I emailed Pickaxe asking about uploading audio files and Lindsay from Pickaxe replied. She said if we want Pickaxe to add the ability to upload audio files, then we should post this request in the “Features Request” section and not in other community sections like General, Action, etc.. I sent her a screenshot of users wanting to upload audio files. Then she replied and said: “none of the posts shown are in the “Feature Requests” section, which is where users can upvote potential site changes. It’s really helpful for us to see votes on issues so we have a sense of how to prioritize updates.” Apparently, they don’t want users to discuss feature requests in other section.

So, if we want Pickaxe to add the ability to upload audio files and use audio related actions via models like Reka AI, then we need to upvote existing posts and create more posts in the Features Request section.
